I-deal Overstock is an intermediary* between A-brand manufacturers and buyers for reliable and efficient selling of overstocks via closed business-to-business Internet auctions.
Overstock has been a burden for manufacturers for years: it takes a relatively large amount of time to sell overstock and it can cause major commercial risks. Furthermore many errors occur in the process of selling overstock and often not all overstock is sold, resulting in disposal costs. Overstock is not part of the core business of manufacturers, which is one of the reasons why these problems occur.
The goal of I-deal Overstock is to professionalize the European overstock business with reliable and efficient sales of overstock against market prices. In order to realize this goal, I-deal Overstock has developed a new approach to the overstock business and offers the following:
- Expertise in the overstock business and a reliable and broad European network of buyers. Due to our experience and cooperation with almost 40 A-brand manufacturers we have built a network with the most reliable and professional buyers in different distribution channels. I-deal Overstock is therefore able to advise a manufacturer adequately in the selection of buyers and during the entire sales process. Also we takeover much of the work of the manufacturer.
- A closed business-to-business platform for Internet auctioning. Only buyers which have been selected by the manufacturer have access to the auctions.
- A reliable payment service. “Payment Services” is a specially developed service, which guarantees correct payment and delivery of the products for both manufacturer and buyer.
- European central control and local execution. I-deal Overstock is able to sell the overstock for all countries of international operating A-brand manufacturers. The manufacturer can set international guidelines (framework), which will be controlled and monitored via management reports.
